The Fighting Arts Academy, in Gardner, MA:
Cardio Kickboxing: We use real Muay Thai Kickboxing techniques, hitting pads to build muscle & cardiovascular endurance.
Muay Thai: elbows, knees, punches, & kicks
Grappling- A grappling art based on leverage to submit the opponent. Practiced with and without a gi.
Wrestling/Judo: A specific grappling arts in which the objective is to takedown the opponent, control him, & pin him.
MMA: Blends striking & grappling. This class includes drilling techniques, isolated sparring and free sparring.
Karate: A traditional method of training. Classes are done wearing a gi. A belt ranking system is used.

Gabriel "Gladiator" Santos wins the NAGA Belt in Rhode Island
Gabriel "Gladiator" Santos blew through the Masters Expert division at the Twin Rivers Casino in Lincoln Rhode Island. He dominated the takedown department and the guard passing to side control department as well. He was so at ease that he joked with the audience and officials during every match. 9 out of 10 Gabriel "Gladiator " Santos Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu Association members won medals at that event.
Nick Newell took 3rd Place in Experts No-Gi and 4th place in Expert Gi.
Justin "Smash" Torrey lost a very close and exciting match to a Olympic Bronze Medal Wrestler from Russia.
Honor Sports is Founded
Fighting Arts Academy Gardner Owner Mike Gibbs Has Founded the Honor Sports, a company to promote Grappling, MMA, Boxing, and Muay Thai Competitions.
The Team to Compete in March
Kendell Amadon, Alex "Crab" Santiago, Chad Kelly, and Zach Alisauskas will be competing in the No-Gi Grappling Tournament called Caxcudo in Milford MA on Sunday March 21, 2010.
Drawing for a Free Membership.
On the first of every month a drawing will take place. The winner will recieve on free month of classes at the Fighting Arts Academy Gardner MA. To enter, go to the contact page send in an email and request to be entered into the drawing. You may only enter your name once per drawing, but you may enter as many drawings as you want. The rule is you can not have ever been a member of the Fighting Arts Academy, or have been a previous winner of a free membership at the Fighting Arts Academy. The winner will be shown in a picture in these newsletters. The first drawing begins April 1, 2010 at 12 midnight.
